Poetry as a Portal: Why I Chose Verse to Tell the Titanic’s Story

Many ask why I chose poetry instead of traditional narrative to recount the Titanic experience. The answer is simple: poetry lets the soul speak.

There is something sacred in verse—the pauses, the rhythm, the emotions between the lines. As I wrote each poem, I felt the presence of those who had once walked the ship’s decks. Their voices didn’t shout. They whispered.

Through poetry, I could capture not just the facts, but the feeling of that moment in time—the courage, the sorrow, the hope. Each line became a memorial. Each stanza, a candle in the dark.

This wasn’t just a book. It became a spiritual journey.
